The thermal baths at Egerszalok and Demjen.
A trip to the thermal spa baths of Egerszalok is ideal to melt away your aches and pains and totally relax you. In summer season this trip departs around 17:15 pm and in winter season around 14:30 pm on Wednesdays from Fenyes Puszta, lasts around 4.5 hours, includes transport, entrance to the baths and up to 1 hour of sauna use and costs 5500 Ft per person. Please bring your own towel, swimming costume and flip-flops if you would like to go on this trip. We will also stay for dinner in a local restaurant after the baths. Here you can enjoy traditional Hungarian food and maybe a shot of premium Palinka.
The baths are newly built and consist of a series of modern pools of varying temperature ranging from 14°C up to 38°C. Some pools are for sitting and relaxing and some for swimming. There is a lazy river, water slide and diving area for those who want to be active and a selection of saunas, a steam room and jaccuzzes for those who want to relax. The pools are both indoor and outdoor with modern changing facilities.
The thermal spa of Demjen is geared more towards adults. It is open until 1a.m. and there is a bar and restaurant there. The pools are smaller than those at Egerszalok and encourage sitting and relaxing while chatting rather than any swimming. There is a sauna and jacuzzi also.
